Lissette Allen

Lissette Allen, raised in Pittsburg, KS, has dedicated over 15 years to the art of dance at The Y Academy of Dance, spending 13 of those years as a competitive dancer across diverse styles including ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, and hip-hop. Now pursuing a dance minor at Pittsburg State University, she continues her growth as a performer by competing with the PSU dance team at UDA Nationals in Orlando, Florida—an experience that not only sharpens her competitive edge but also deepens her connection to the community. Her early years assisting instructors paved the way for her current role as a dance teacher, where she now leads her own classes while drawing on six years of hands-on experience supporting diverse age groups and styles. With a natural flair for choreography that began in her garage during her youth, Lissette crafts innovative solos for dancers, enabling them to shine on stage. Her journey reflects a vibrant blend of competitive drive, creative artistry, and a passion for empowering others through dance.
