Taylor Whiteley
Dance Instructor

Taylor Whiteley, a Pittsburg, Kansas, native, has dedicated her career to both education and dance. She earned her undergraduate degree in Recreation Administration with a minor in Dance from Pittsburg State University and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Elementary Education while working at George Nettels Elementary School.
Taylor began her dance journey at the age of twelve and started assistant teaching at fourteen. She was a company member at Y Academy of Dance throughout high school and later trained with Midwest Regional Ballet’s senior company. She also danced for three years on the PSU Crimson and Gold Dance Team, where she attended various conventions and competed at NDA Nationals in Los Angeles, California.
With thirteen years of teaching experience, Taylor has instructed dancers ranging from ages two to eighteen at all levels. She has choreographed countless competition routines, many of which have received top placements regionally and nationally, along with several choreography awards. In 2024, she choreographed the highest-scoring senior duet at Stage One Nationals in Branson, Missouri.
Outside of the studio, Taylor enjoys running, organizing, and spending time with her mom and her three cats, Milo, Bee, and Squirrel. She is passionate about sharing her love of dance with students and faculty at the Alignment Project Dance Company.
